Yoga

The best thing about yoga is that you DON’T have to start out being flexible, strong, or spiritual to ‘do’ yoga. Yoga is a life-long practice that gives you the tools and opportunity to cultivate all these things over time. Yoga allows you to experience the journey and notice the transformation a long the way. All classes are designed for all levels of fitness/experience. Our teachers are there to help guide you and nourish your hearts and minds.

Class Options Include:  

Yoga Fundamentals: A Beginner Series (All Levels): Learn the fundamentals of yoga alignment, flow & philosophy with others new to yoga. Build a strong foundation for a lasting yoga practice. This is a 3 week Yoga Beginner Series held on Mondays from 7:00-8:15pm. The workshop is held at The Riverview Campus, Room 13: 10700 Ambassador Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 Pre-Register (required) at: CRPD

Vinyasa Flow (All Levels): Vinyasa Flow is a flowing sequence of poses (asanas) designed to link your directed yogic breath with the movement of your body. Yogic or Ujjayi breathing concentrates the breath, giving your poses control and focus. This dynamic practice creates a sinuous rhythm between breath, body, mind & heart resulting in an incredible moving & meditative workout.

Yin and Flow (All Levels): This class is perfect for those who feel they are ‘not flexible enough to do yoga’ as a yin/yang yoga practice allows time to release the ‘‘shrink-wrap like effect’ that connective tissue has on the bones, joints, and subsequently the muscles. Yin & Flow helps restore equilibrium to your mind, body & spirit by focusing on breath-work (pranayama) & meditation; combining passive (yin) and active (yang/vinyasa flow) postures keeping your joints supple and your bones strong. A Yin & Flow practice not only increases your physical flexibility, it helps to cultivate a patient mind and love for yourself. You will feel the effects of this practice from the inside out!

Lunchtime Yoga (All Levels): The lunch classes allow you to release tension, keep your body sturdy & lithe while cultivating a restful & focused mind by combining pranyama, meditation, along with active and passive postures. Lunch-time Yoga will leave you feeling relaxed and yet strengthened in only 45 minutes. (Class day and times: Tuesdays (Vinyasa Yoga) 12:15 – 1pm; Wednesdays (Vinyasa Yoga) 12:15 – 1pm;  Thursdays (Yin & Flow) 12:15 – 1pm. Classes held at SCOE Curriculum and Intervention Annex: 10461 Old Placerville Road, Suite 120, Sacramento, CA 95827 (Enter Through Suite 120, at the back of the building)
